I never miss a single American Idol show this year!
The last 2 shows reminded me of the good old 60's...
...My high school days...I was a huge fan of The Beatles!
Who doesn't know The Beatles?
I listened to ALL of their songs in the old days.
But only selective songs I continue to play...
...And "The Long And Winding Road" is one of the few!
Written by Paul McCartney (credited to Lennon/McCartney
as you can see it from the album "Let It Be), "The Long and
Winding Road" is historical...
...This was The Beatles' final #1 song in the US in 1970.
The Beatles, from Liverpool, England, are one of the most
successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history
of pop music and their influence on pop culture is still
evident today. EMI, their record company, estimated that
by 1985 they had sold over one billion records worldwide!
Started in the 1960, The 4 Beatles were:
- John Lennon
- Paul McCartney
- Ringo Starr
- George Harrison
The partnership was finally dissolved in 1975.
The 17-year old David Archuleta from Murray, UT has
performed wonderfully and emerged as on of the Top 10
American Idol contestants.
Bravo, David! I hope you'll become the soon-to-be
American Idol!

Lyrics - "The Long And Winding Road"
"The long and winding road
That leads to your door
Will never disappear
I've seen that road before
It always leads me here
Lead me to your door.
The wild and windy night
That the rain washed away
Has left a pool of tears
Crying for the day.
Why leave me standing here?
Let me know the way.
Many times I've been alone
And many times I've cried,
Anyway you'll never know
The many ways I've tried.
And still they lead me back
To the long, winding road
You left me standing here
A long, long time ago
Don't leave me waiting here
Lead me to your door.
But still they lead me back
To the long winding road
You left me standing here
A long, long time ago (ohhh)
Don't keep me waiting here (don't keep me waiting)
Lead me to your door. (yeah yeah yeah yeah)"
Want to listen to more songs by The Beatles?
I've a few dozens of then on "My Playlist" in my
Dizzler Player (player at top of this page).
Go ahead.
